The WorkBee PRO is capable of accurately cutting foams, woods, plastics or aluminum at depths greater than 25mm to 0.2mm accuracy or greater. With a WorkBee PRO CNC Kit you can manufacture functional engineering parts, toys, signs, or whatever you can imagine without leaving the workshop.
The WorkBee PRO makes full use of the V-Slot Extrusion system. On the X and Y Axis C-Beam extrusions are used. Not only is using the C-Beam beneficial to strength, but it also allows the drive systems to be concealed from debris. On a screw driven WorkBee CNC Kit, the screws are inside the 'C' channel, therefore shielded from the cutting area.
The WorkBee PRO CNC Machine uses a total of 48 x Xtreme Solid V Wheels. The Xtreme wheels are manufactured from super hard polycarbonate, this reduces wheel compression, and keeps wear to a minimum. The plates are manufactured from 6mm aluminium, and have a protective anodized coating. The plates have been designed completely from scratch, and have been carefully thought about in terms of function, usability, and ease of assembly.

This is my first CNC router. The kit came packed well. Assembly, while time consuming, was not difficult. There were some things I was not familiar with, like how tight to have the wheels against the rail, which took me some time and trial and error to set up well. I made a few mistakes during assembly and broke a limit switch, so make sure you read and understand the directions, because if I had I wouldn't have broke it. Installing the electronics and UGS software went smoothly. I had a M12VC Hitachi router already so instead of using the router mount I decided to make a mount for it, and it works great. I cut my spoil board hole pattern for screws, some test patterns, and a few things I designed already and it is already addictive. I don't know how it compares to other kits in this price range, but after looking around and seeing what was available in the under 2000 dollar price range I chose this, and I am not regretting it. It feels very robust. Spark concepts did a great job emailing me back and forth to answer my questions on the product before I purchased it. I am still very much learning with this machine but so far I am having a lot of fun.
